Register with Prospero TeachingAre you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs?Prospero Teaching is recruiting Specialist SEN Teaching Assistants to join the dedicated team at a Secondary School Academy in Oldham (OL4 area) from September 2025.This is a rewarding opportunity to work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who need extra support making a real impact every day.The Role:
- Supporting students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
- Assisting with academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development
- Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement personalised strategies
- Helping to manage behaviour in a supportive and respectful manner
- Promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Experience supporting children or young people with special needs (school, residential, care, or voluntary)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
- Confidence in building positive relationships with students and staff
- A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and right to work in the UK
- Work in a supportive and inclusive secondary school environment
- Long-term role with consistency and routine for both you and the students
- Excellent training opportunities via Prospero Teaching, including CPD in Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, and Team Teach
