- Grow your portfolio of customers, as well as the income from the portfolio, by delivering outstanding customer service
- Manage, influence and build an internal network across Metro Bank to ensure a one team approach for customers and colleagues
- Develop an external network of introducers, accountants, lawyers, chambers of commerce
- Manage/lead a small team, directing and coaching them to deliver excellent customer service and develop to their next role
- Liaise on a regular basis with customers, prospective customers and introducers directly, including face-to-face meetings
- Prepare and propose credit limits for customers
- Attend to every detail when onboarding, or carrying out ongoing due diligence on customers,
- Adhere to Metro Bank's financial crime policies
- Identify where processes could be improved and to improve them
- Work at pace
- Great people skills
- Fluency in English and ideally one or more additional language(s) - preferably Japanese, German, Dutch, French, Cantonese/Mandarin, Spanish
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to convey complex information simply
- Attention to detail
- Either be knowledgeable with commercial banking services or have a proven record of learning fast, eg foreign exchange, Commercial Online Banking, Invoice Discounting, Asset Finance
