Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible shifts including long days, nights, and weekends
Salary: £42,500 - £51,059 per annum, plus benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits, and career development)For a limited time, a £10,000 welcome bonus is available to successful applicants who join our team.We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our esteemed team at a leading healthcare facility dedicated to the well-being of women and children. Situated in London, our hospital boasts a commendable "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and prides itself on fostering a culture of professional growth and support.As a Senior Staff Nurse within our Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care unit, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our department. Utilising your expertise, you will provide guidance to junior staff members, contribute to holistic care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and spearhead quality improvement initiatives. Flexibility and leadership are key components of this role, as you may be required to assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement holistic care plans
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement projects
  • Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols
  • Facilitate the supervision and assessment of students
Requirements:
  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Prior experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care settings
  • Familiarity with tracheostomised patients is advantageous
  • Proficiency in teaching and mentoring
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound clinical governance and audit experience
  • Previous experience in supervising and assessing students is desirable
