£28,612.50 p/aWe are looking for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to work alongside qualified SLTs within our specialist residential services for autistic adults often accompanied by complex needs and behaviours that challenge.Location: Broughton House (LN5 0SL) is a 29 bed specialist residential service. For more about Broughton House click here: https://www.cygnethealth.co.uk/locations/broughton-house/Job RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team. In this job role you will cover a range of clinical and administrative support roles. These tasks will be delegated to you by a qualified SLT and as a result you will working directly with individuals, either one-to-one or groups, to deliver therapy programmes, supporting SLTs in assessment of individual’s communication skills, reporting on progress, providing support with resources for individuals and contributing to the development of the inclusive communication environment. You will receive monthly supervision and, as part of the SLT service, be eligible for relevant training focused to your workload.We are looking for some with:To be shortlisted for this role, you must submit a supporting statement or cover letter outlining that:
- You demonstrate an genuine interest in speech, language and communication needs
- You have experience / keen interest in working with autistic people, learning disabilities and/or behaviour that challenges
- You are able to competently use computers and a range of software i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet explorer
- You are able to take instruction from others and seek clarification where required to complete a task.
