An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an L500-ranked Construction and Engineering team, recognised for its excellence in handling complex and high-value contentious matters.This award-winning department is home to some of the most respected practitioners in the field, known for their strategic, commercially focused advice across a diverse client base.The role is based in Edinburgh and offers the chance to work at the forefront of construction law, advising on a broad range of disputes arising from major infrastructure, energy and development projects.You will be part of a nationally regarded disputes team, working side-by-side with experts in Contentious Construction.Alongside this, you will manage your own caseload while contributing to larger team matters, involving adjudications, litigations, arbitrations and mediations. Clients include contractors, developers, consultants, local authorities and major public and private sector bodies.Ideally, you will be a solicitor who is passionate about construction law and looking to deepen their experience within a highly respected, forward-thinking team that values collaboration, ambition and technical excellence.Your Experience
  • 4+ PQE Contentious Construction Solicitor
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing construction disputes across various forums (e.g., adjudication, litigation, arbitration).
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in dispute resolution documentation.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, counsel and colleagues.
  • Proactive, organised and commercially aware, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with a client-focused mindset and a passion for delivering clear, strategic legal advice.
