We're seeking a dynamic Garden Centre Manager to lead, motivate, and develop the team - someone who leads from the front and brings energy, ideas, and a "can-do" approach every day.What You'll Be DoingAs Garden Centre Manager, you'll take full responsibility for all operational aspects of the store, ensuring it runs smoothly and successfully. You will:
- Lead by example with a hands-on approach to day-to-day retail operations
- Motivate and support the wider store team, including Assistant Managers and supervisors
- Champion an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint
- Drive commercial performance and exceed sales targets
- Maintain strong standards of merchandising and product availability
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, cash handling, and administrative duties
- Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture
- Keep all areas - front and back of house - clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Contribute fresh ideas to help grow the business further
- A natural leader with previous experience in a management role, ideally in retail or garden centre operations
- Passionate about delivering high standards and outstanding customer service
- Professional and composed when handling challenges
- Confident in coaching and developing a team
- Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail and product presentation
