Do you want a career with a market leading, multi-national company? Do you want the opportunity to gain a degree qualification part time whilst earning?Based in the Laboratory, working alongside an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to develop and become a Laboratory Technician/Engineer.This role will include:
  • Providing technical support for the development and validation of new LEONI products and processes, including electrical, mechanical, and materials testing using specialist laboratory equipment
  • Interpretation of customer technical specifications
  • Performing measurements on vehicles, wiring harnesses and components in line with customer specifications
  • Performing validation procedures on vehicle harness and componentry in line with customer specifications
  • Maintaining detailed records of observations and test results to issue to customers
  • Preparing technical test reports including photographic evidence
  • Participating in LEONI product warranty analysis by providing factual analysis in response to issues highlighted by LEONI customers
  • Studying part-time for 5 years through Staffordshire University on the Level 6 Embedded Electronic Systems Engineering programme - On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be issued with the BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering Award. Qualifications/Skills:
  • A minimum of 4 GCSE grades C (Grade 4) or above including Maths and English
  • 3 A Levels with 2 in STEM based subjects, such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths at minimum grade C or above or Engineering Vocational Studies (T-Level or extended Diploma minimum grade DDD)
  • Passion for Engineering

  • As this role will involve some travel to LEONI sites a full UK driving licence will be desirable.
