Weighbridge Operator - Cardiff - Immediate StartOur client, a well-established engineering company based in Cardiff, is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join their team on an ongoing contract basis, starting ASAP.About the Role
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract Type: Ongoing
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 nights, 2 days, 4 off)
  • Hourly Rate: £12.21
As a Weighbridge Operator, you'll be the key point of contact for all logistics entering and leaving the site. Your role will involve:
  • Accurately weighing vehicles (lorries/trains) and verifying load weights
  • Issuing relevant documentation (delivery notes, waste management forms, scrap transaction records)
  • Ensuring drivers comply with site safety rules and wear appropriate PPE
  • Communicating effectively with drivers and internal teams, including planning and loading departments
  • Using internal systems and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records
  • Supporting customer requirements and internal coordination
You'll be joining a leading UK manufacturer and recycler of steel products, committed to sustainability and achieving net zero carbon by 2030.About You
  • No prior experience required - full training provided
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Willing to undergo a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing
