We’re strengthening our engineering capability to deliver major overhead line (OHL) and transmission projects across the UK. We’re now seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (OHL) to lead engineering delivery across high-voltage transmission schemes from concept to completion.The Role:We’re looking for a proactive Site or Section Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, reviewing and producing method statements, contributing to right start inputs, preparing as-built documentation, and leading site briefings. Initially, you will support the delivery of additional scope on the Gremista scheme, before moving on to take a key role in delivering the Mossy Hill project.Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out setting out, surveying, and quality control to ensure works are delivered to specification and programme.
  • Plan, organise, and supervise site activities, including labour and subcontractor coordination, to meet project deadlines.
  • Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all site operations.
  • Support digital engineering tasks including land surveys, mapping, and the coordination of engineering information.
  • Assist with material selection, cost-effective solutions, and preparation of project documentation, including as-built records.
  • Resolve technical challenges on-site and liaise regularly with project teams to report progress and issues.
The Candidate:
  • Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng)
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • CSCS 5 day safety qualification
  • Experience working on a construction site with site supervision experience
  • Able to set out and level
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
  • Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments
  • Experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks and structures
  • Have some experience of AutoCAD
  • Fundamental understanding of bill of quantities
