Description:Are you committed and passionate about SEN Education? We are looking for the next site manager to join our established team. This is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children that we teach.Sutherland House School is a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school is in the heart of the Creative Quarter in the City Centre.We're looking for a dedicated, proactive, and caring Site Manager to join our school community. This is more than a job; it's a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and staff by ensuring our site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained every single day.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading on all aspects of health and safety across the school site
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Managing contractors and overseeing site maintenance and repairs
  • Supporting emergency planning and safeguarding procedures
  • Being a friendly, reassuring presence for staff, pupils, and visitors alike
What We're Looking For:
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Experience in site or facilities management (school experience is a bonus, but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others
  • Someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
