CADS South Yorkshire (Creative Arts Development Space) is a charitable organisation that transforms disused and underused buildings into affordable and inspiring spaces for artists, creative businesses and community groups. Through our network of studios, rehearsal rooms and venues, we play a vital role in supporting Sheffield's independent cultural sector and ensuring access to space for creativity and innovation.We are seeking a Head of Operations to provide strong leadership in the day-to-day management of the organisation. This senior role is central to ensuring that our buildings, staff and systems operate effectively and sustainably. You will oversee a diverse property portfolio that currently includes Eagle Works, Arley Street Studios, Exchange Street, and the newly opened Denby Rooms, with further projects in development.The postholder will be responsible for the effective running of our sites, including property management, health and safety, compliance, repairs and maintenance. You will also lead a small team of staff and contractors, providing line management and support, while developing systems that ensure smooth and efficient operations.Financial oversight will form a key part of the role, managing cash flow and maximising income from lettings and rentals. You will liaise with the Board of Trustees and contribute to strategic decision-making, ensuring that CADS continues to grow sustainably.We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, a strong background in operations or property management, and the ability to lead people effectively.
