Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading North Wales manufacturer, in their search for a Despatch Team Leader to work at their site in Wrexham.For the successful Despatch Team Leader, our client is offering:
  • Salary of circa £40,000 per annum DOE
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (flexibility required)

The Role – Despatch Team Leader:
  • Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Despatch Department
  • Oversee UK and international order processing, including commercial and non-commercial shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with the Known Consignor Scheme, hazardous goods regulations, and all export documentation requirements.
  • Liaise with couriers, customers, QA teams, and regulatory bodies to maintain smooth and compliant despatch operations.
  • Manage temperature-controlled logistics and ERP-based despatch documentation
  • Lead and support a team of 6–8 staff, ensuring effective coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, support audits, and maintain facility systems and regulatory compliance.
What our client is looking for in a Despatch Team Leader:
  • Previous experience in an export/distribution leadership role within a highly regulated industry – ESSENTIAL
  • A proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong communication and planning skills
  • Experience with temperature-controlled logistics, or dangerous goods handling – DESIRABLE
  • Comfortable using ERP systems and managing despatch documentation
  • A team player with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational excellence
