SEND Teaching Assistant

• Provide 1:1 supportto Reception pupils with SEND, fostering their academic, emotional, and social development.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)and tailored learning strategies.
• Support pupils during play-based and structured classroom activities, ensuring full engagement and participation.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, offering regular feedback to the teaching team and contributing to review meetings.
• Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through consistent and supportive interactions.

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
