This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about education, whether you're an experienced TA or a graduate looking to gain school-based experience.Role Overview:
As a TA, you will work closely with class teachers to support students' learning, both inside and outside the classroom. Your role will include one-to-one support, small group interventions, and general classroom assistance, helping pupils to access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally.Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional needs, including SEN or EAL.
  • Contribute to lesson preparation, classroom displays, and administrative tasks.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
  • A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
