What you will do:
  • You will work within the relevant legal frameworks, guidance, policies, and procedures to undertake assessments, reviews, and support planning with individuals and their carers.
  • Promote well-being, independence, and safety throughout your practices while undertaking safeguarding processes.
  • Join one of two close-knit teams with extremely supportive and experienced managers and senior staff.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your professional growth.
  • Promote our Connected Southend Model to strengthen community ties.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be able to work in the UK and hold a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England and completion of the ASYE is required.
  • Previous experience working in the Adult Social Care sector is essential, as is the ability to apply a strength-based, asset-based approach to assessment, care planning, and review.
  • Experience with the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and managing adult safeguarding enquiries is beneficial.
  • If you do not have direct experience, a good understanding and knowledge are necessary.
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including voluntary, public, and private sector organisations, will be crucial to your role, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
