Committed to providing exceptional education, we believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Male Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional support, ensuring they have equal opportunities to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Support students during transitions between lessons and activities, ensuring a smooth and inclusive learning experience.
  • Encourage inclusive practices and promote a culture of respect and understanding among students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN or disabilities, is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to promoting inclusive practices.
  • Minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
