Catering Assistant - South West Norse
  • Location: Collecting meals from Winkleigh Primary School, and delivering and serving to Kings Nympton Primary School, Devon
  • Salary: £25,396.80 pro rata- Equates to £12.21 per hour
  • Hours Per Week: 11.25
  • Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 11.15AM - 1.30PM
South West Norse is the successful service partnership between Devon County Council and Norse Group, delivery a range of essential facilities management services to a growing number of clients in the region.As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join the team based at Kings Nympton Primary School in Devon.We will be providing a full catering service and your role will be to support the kitchen team with food preparation, service delivery and kitchen maintenance. This is a customer facing position, so you will need to be confident engaging with our clients on a daily basis.As part of the role, you will be required to deliver food and stock on site using a company van, therefore it is essential you hold a Full UK Driving Licence for the role.Your Experience:We are happy to offer full support and training if you are looking to start a career within catering, however it would be an advantage for you to demonstrate:
  • Experience within a catering or dining environment
  • Use of own vehicle & business use insurance required
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Great communication skills
  • Good attention to detail whilst delivering an excellent customer service
