In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a love of literature and language, while equipping students with the skills and confidence needed for future academic success.About the Role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic English lessons aligned with the curriculum, fostering a genuine enthusiasm for reading, writing, and language
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and active student engagement
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to support individual growth and achievement
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share effective resources, ensuring a cohesive and enriching learning experience
  • Engage with parents and carers to support students’ academic progress and personal development
The ideal candidate will:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of the English curriculum with the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning
