If so, joining us in Adult Social Services could be the right move for you. You can find out more about us .You will be based in Julian Hospital in Norwich, which is for adults in later life (65+). The setting consists of five wards which are divided into organic (Dementia) and functional (Bi-Polar/Schizophrenia etc.) mental health groups. We generally have a social worker aligned to each ward, giving opportunity for social workers to support from the moment of admission until discharge and review.As a Practice Consultant in this small friendly team, you will be part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, which aims to promote the wellbeing of those in later life, living with mental health. This is a great opportunity for a social worker to develop managerial skills and further develop specialist knowledge and skills in older persons mental health.We take a living well approach in Norfolk which means supporting people in the context of their own families, communities and circle of support; empowering people to remain independent for longer.What we offerAt Norfolk County Council we are committed to our employees' learning and development.
