
Urban Designer - Crewe

- Create engaging visualisations and concept designs, including sketches and CGIs, to bring residential and care home schemes to life.
- Prepare and develop masterplans, sketch layouts, and detailed site layouts for a variety of sites.
- Evaluate site constraints and opportunities to inform design proposals.
- Prepare compelling presentation documents and vision documents to communicate development concepts.
- Contribute to the preparation of planning application materials, including detailed site layouts and masterplans for outline planning applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure design outputs align with project objectives and planning requirements.
- Maintain awareness of planning policy, urban design principles, and best practice in residential and care home development.
- Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or related design discipline.
- Experience in UK housing and mixed-use projects gained in design, architectural and/or planning consultancies
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong design and graphic presentation skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to evaluate complex site constraints and opportunities and translate these into viable development proposals.
- Experience in the production of residential and mixed-use masterplans and strategic frameworks as well as Design and Access Statements, Design Codes and associated plans for planning submissions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- A collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently and managing multiple deadlines.
