Job Description:Bank Healthcare Assistant - Pre Operative Assessment | Leicester | Flexible HoursSpire Leicester Hospital is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly Pre-Assessment Team on a bank basis. We offer fast access to high-quality healthcare, from consultations and advanced diagnostics to personalised treatment, complex surgery and expert aftercareDuties and Responsibilities:As a Healthcare Assistant in Pre-Assessment, you will work alongside our clinical team to support patients preparing for surgery. Your duties will include:
  • Assisting with pre-operative assessments including observations
  • Supporting nurses and clinicians in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures
  • Accurately documenting patient information and escalating any concerns
  • Providing reassurance and clear information to patients
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times
Who We're Looking For:We're looking for someone with:
  • Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in taking basic clinical observations
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekdays and weekends as needed
  • A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to patient care
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
