Job descriptionJob Title: GCSE English Tutor

Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hourKey Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons in GCSE English, focusing on key areas such as comprehension, creative writing, language analysis, and exam preparation.
  • Develop and implement individualised lesson plans to address each student’s unique learning needs and academic goals.
  • Provide constructive feedback and clear guidance to help students enhance their writing, reading and analytic skills.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN, ensuring an inclusive and effective learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in GCSE English.
  • BA in English or an Education-related degree.
  • Experience working with SEN students.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desired:
  • PGCE in Secondary English and/or QTS status.
