- Processing requests for goods and services for the business
- Sourcing goods and services & obtaining quotes, ensuring that specification, quality, budgetary cost, and delivery quoted match the requirement from the requestor.
- Ensuring timely receipt of hire and service purchase orders to aid invoice processing.
- Support the co-ordination of rental and service requirements with suppliers for the operational support activity and where applicable communicating delivery status to the requestor.
- Assist the Accounts Department with invoice queries requiring clarification.
- To negotiate and place purchase orders, ensuring schedule reporting and delivery promises are maintained by vendors with information communicated to the relevant business area and any other stakeholders.
- To expedite orders in accordance with Purchase Order requirements.
- Working with suppliers to maintain or improve the requested lead time, updating the ERP system and requestor accordingly.
- Assisting with performing stock movements on Navision.
- Ensuring items are located & stored safely in the correct locations.
- Providing support to the stores team during cycle and full stock counts
- Helping to ensure the stores area is kept in a safe and tidy manner.
- A minimum of five National 5 grades/GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Good Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of business administration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt and amend workload priorities in a regularly changing environment
