- Month end reporting: Manage financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and providing detailed analysis on key variances.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against forecasts and identify areas of risk or opportunity.
- Business Planning: Contribute to the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Business partnering/stakeholder management: Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive business performance. Build strong relationships and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Helping manage the finance function: Support the overall management of the finance function, including financial operations, compliance, and risk management. Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Creation of management reports: Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and areas requiring attention. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Pricing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse pricing strategies and support pricing decisions. Evaluate pricing models, profitability analysis, and competitive landscape to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Fully qualified accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Experienced and confident manager of small finance teams.
- Self-starter | works on own initiative.
- Management Accounting | Budgeting / Forecasting.
