Description Salary: £30,295 - £32,668 per yearStart Date: 1st October 2025Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time + 2 weeks, PermanentLocation: SouthwarkWe are seeking a highly organised and experienced Exams Officer to take full responsibility for the planning, administration, and delivery of all internal and external examinations at our school.This is a pivotal role that ensures the smooth and compliant running of the entire examination process. From liaising with awarding bodies and managing exam entries to coordinating access arrangements and maintaining regulatory compliance, you will be central to providing a seamless experience for both students and staff.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of exam administration, including GCSEs and internal assessmentsLiaise with exam boards and manage all exam entries and amendmentsCoordinate access arrangements in collaboration with the SEND teamRecruit, train, and manage a team of invigilatorsProduce and distribute exam timetables for students and staffEnsure the secure storage and handling of confidential exam materialsAct as the first point of contact for all examination-related queries from staff, students, and parentsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulationsAbout You:Experienced in exams administration within a school setting (essential)Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDiscreet, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality and high professional standardsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, playing a vital role in supporting student success.How to Apply:Submit your CV or send it directly to arooney@veritas-education.comWe are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
