We have a large diverse team of talented Safe & Happy People, combining their strengths and ambition to bring innovation and evolution which ensures Sustainability for all stakeholders.Across our key sectors – Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, and supported through our regional office network supported by our manufacturing hub located in the heart of Somerset which forms part of our 60,000ft head office complex – we deliver diverse and interesting projects and programmes throughout UK infrastructure.Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.PURPOSEDue to business growth we are currently recruiting for an M&E Site Install Engineer who will work closely with our manufacturing teams with the successful delivery of our wide range of standard and bespoke manufactured package plant.Whether you are mechanically or electrically biased or competent in both, we will consider all applications. Training can be provided in your opposite field. Will need to be willing to assist with both mechanical and electrical installations.The RoleContracted to 40hrs per week, 8 hours on site Monday to Friday.You will be paid both your over time and travel time to site (door to door) at your standard hourly rate.Regular travel and lodging will be expected as part of this role. You will be paid extra for the nights you are lodging.
Carry out package plant installation work, comprising of chemical dosing packages, pump skids access steelwork and more ensuring work is on schedule and within budget.
Ensure full compliance at all times with the Bridges Mechanical and Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
Safe cost-effective delivery of mechanical & electrical installations.
Taking responsibility for the Health & Safety of self and all under your control.
Minimising impact on and protection of the environment.
Completion of ITPs.
Responsibility for looking after allocated tools and equipment.
RequirementsRequired
Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Electrician (essential)
Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Production Management in delivering safe profitable projects in line with programme requirements
Experienced in site managing Mechanical or Electrical projects
Ability to give and take instruction
Full UK driving license
