- To maintain a high standard at all times and undertake a full and comprehensive dietetic assessment of patients with highly complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning skills and dietetic assessment techniques.
- To assess the individual physical, psychological and emotional needs of the patient and work in conjunction with other professionals to deliver appropriate care.
- To be competent in a range of service relevant clinical dietetic procedures.
- Request and interpret appropriate investigations as necessary to monitor and manage patients with clinical condition.
- To provide advanced specialist dietetic treatment including assessing and reviewing medication, in accordance with legislation and treatment guidelines, where appropriate.
- To anticipate care needs and develop individual lifestyle management plans ensuring that patient values, beliefs and views are reflected in their management plan.
- Be proactive in the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of agreed care management plans
- To contribute specialist knowledge to the Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council.
- Health Professions Council registered Dietitian.
- Evidence of relevant post graduate specialist clinical education at post graduate level or equivalent and /or equivalent experience.
- Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care environment and evidence of evidence based practice in relevant health setting.
- Evidence of effective MDT working.
- Knowledge of relevant national policies and guidance including MEED and NICE and relevant assessment tools.
- Experience working within specialist Eating Disorder services or with young people with ED.
- Demonstrate a programme of learning, which involves additional theoretical or conceptual knowledge acquisition achieved through self-study, courses and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Skills/experience in the use of complex methods of assessment, intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
- Assessment and treatment of adults an/or children with non-complex conditions.
- Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council.

- Evidence of relevant post graduate specialist clinical education at post graduate level or equivalent and /or equivalent experience.
