Location: Derby
Pay Rate: £90 – £110+ per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

This rewarding role allows you to provide personalised support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence in a supportive environment.Role Overview:
As a 1:1 SEND TA, you will work closely with pupils requiring personalised assistance, tailoring support to their unique needs. You will collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning activities and promote independence and positive behaviour.Responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one support tailored to the pupil’s individual SEND needs.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
  • Support the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Help manage and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of pupil development and share feedback.
Requirements for 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant or similar role in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of a range of SEND conditions, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
