Permanent | Full-Time | Client-Side RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join a well-established residential developer based in Nottingham. This is a client-side role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to be part of a small, close-knit team with a strong local pipeline.The Role:You’ll be responsible for managing planning matters across a range of residential developments, from initial feasibility through to post-consent delivery. This is a varied role that will suit someone who thrives on working across multiple sites and engaging with stakeholders throughout the planning process.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, submit, and monitor planning applicationsDischarge conditions and track application progressLiaise with local authorities, consultants, architects, ecologists, highways engineers, and other stakeholdersMonitor S106 obligations and ensure compliancePrepare site assessments and coordinate planning documentationSupport on matters relating to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and emerging planning policyAbout You:Minimum 3 years’ experience in planning, ideally including work for or with a residential developerStrong understanding of the UK planning system, particularly in residential developmentConfident managing planning submissions and engaging with local authority officers and consultantsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMRTPI qualification or working towards it preferredWhat’s on Offer:£45,000 – £50,000 salary, depending on experienceCar allowanceDiscretionary annual bonus based on company performancePension scheme20 days holiday + bank holidays + 2-week Christmas shutdownShorter working week than industry standard:Monday to Thursday: 9am – 4pmFriday: 9am – 12:30pmThis is a rare opportunity to join a developer that values work-life balance and offers a genuine team environment with flexibility and long-term potential.
