Our diverse academic team includes experienced academics, practitioners, and industry professionals, all focused on preparing students with discipline knowledge and practical skills for real-world careers.About the Opportunity:As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our undergraduate programmes, with a strong focus on achieving excellent student outcomes. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines academic leadership, teaching, and collaboration to support student success and progression.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing module leadership across several large, core modules.
  • Taking overall responsibility for a year group or cohort within a large programme.
  • Offering line management support to Lecturers, who may themselves have module leadership responsibilities.
  • Contributing to teaching, learning, and assessment activities to drive strong student outcomes.
You will also work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the university to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with Arden's vision of accessible, career-focused education. A key part of the role will be leading initiatives that promote student continuation, retention, and success.About You:To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC), recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Proven experience in developing and enhancing psychology programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • A strong understanding of current teaching, learning, and assessment practices in higher education
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing programme teams and individual staff
