While our products are virtually invisible, they play a vital role in ensuring the quality of modern life and we are committed to connecting what matters to solve some of the world's biggest adhesion challenges.Job Title:Warehouse Operative.Shift requirement:This role is on the 10:00-18:00 shift.Key Accountabilities will include:Always ensuring the correct PPE is used including hi vis vests, gloves, masks, safety shoes, eye protection etcConducting start of shift safety checks on manual handling equipment including:Forklift trucksPedestrian pallet moversInternal delivery / collection vehiclesWeighing platformsTo follow all warehouse work instructionsLabelling containers and pallets as required by the transport regulations or customer specificationUnderstanding and implementing production documentation including production works orders, Transfer orders, pack codes, single point lessons.Preparing pallets, single packages, and pallet boxes according to customer specifications or transport regulationsPreparing single packages and consolidating pallets of raw materials for use in production in line with the required standardsBe able to handle safely manually (pack, stack, palletise etc) containers weighing up to 22kgCleaning down carefully and thoroughly all warehouse equipment including scales at the end of the warehouse shiftMaximising productivity from all processes by minimising downtime and wasteEnsuring that all transfer orders are completed according to the requested time and production planMonitoring, controlling, and recording information on paper and electronic systems and handheld devicesBe able to use lifting and handling equipment including drum lifters, pallet wrapping machines and pallet trucksWrap, cover, strap, and band pallets in accordance with specifications manually or using wrapping and banding equipmentContributing to continuous improvement projectsKnowledge and understanding of the safety requirements in an ATEX (flammable) product environmentsMaintain an excellent standard of housekeeping during warehouse operations and at the end of shiftBe able to work a reasonable amount of overtime as required by business needsKnowledge and Qualifications:Must have good basic mathematics ie addition, multiplication, division, working out percentages etcMust have good English comprehension to be able to interpret and follow process and safety instructions preciselyCompetent and confident in using manual handling equipmentHave the ability to safely lift, place and stack containers weighing up to 22kgsBehaviours:Work in accordance with the HB Fuller code of conduct and Apollo core values of the company, namely, Safety, Care and TrustAbility to work under pressure to strict deadlines to meet customer expectations and transport deadlinesCommitted to the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, co-workers and the environmentDependability, take personal ownership of all aspects of the job rolePromotes team spirit and morale with a positive can-do attitude, even in difficult situationsCommitted to achieving excellence in both quality and efficiencyPunctualWilling to learn new systems and new technologyFlexibility to work in other areas of Apollo/ HB Fuller, as business needs requireAbility to use own initiativeWork well with othersWorks well on single operator stationsTraining:Understand a transfer order and other documents and be able to complete it correctlyUnderstand the importance of following one-point lesson instructionsHow to work safely with flammable AdhesivesThe use of safety equipment including local extraction systems and anti-static devicesHow to do basic cleaning and checking of equipmentHow to consolidate and label multiple items onto a pallet for dispatchCounterbalance forklift truck operationsPivot steer forklift truck operationsPedestrian powered pallet mover operationsWeighing platform operationDust extraction operation & cleaningDock leveller operationSafe systems of workHazard awareness trainingH.B.
