- Ownership of Treasury accounting process for Treasury, including the maintenance, improvement and development of reliable hedge accounting processes
- Owner of static Treasury data in the accounting (SAP) ledger and Treasury Management System (IT2).
- Ownership of accounting, performance reporting and analytical review of the overall cash, working capital results, debt, derivatives and the finance charge
- Ensuring that any new compliance / statutory requirements as a result of the environment of increased regulation are met ahead of schedule and with the greatest amount of automation
- Provision of assurance on the accuracy and completeness of Treasury transactions within the accounting cycle.
- Responsible for the delivery of enhanced Treasury accounting reports including:
– Sensitivity analysis
– Compliance controls (as agreed with Internal Finance Control)
- Ensuring new types of complex Financial Instruments (including intercompany transactions and VPPAs) are correctly treated/accounted for in order to minimise the impact on the Finance Charge.
- Provision of technical advice and guidance to Tax, Treasury and Finance teams on all aspects of Treasury accounting (including acquisitions and group funding arrangements) specifically with regards to IFRS.
- Strong treasury accounting knowledge, having worked in environments accounting for complex hedge transactions
- An accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- The ability to manage direct reports, internal, and external stakeholders
- The desire to progress in their career, as this role can develop in various ways within the finance function
