- Manage credit risk referrals and customer queries in line with our data exchange agreement with Experian
- Liaise with Credit Safe and Experian to resolve data discrepancies and support upfront credit vetting
- Monitor changes in risk profiles across high-revenue and well-performing accounts to identify emerging risks
- Assess financial risk in large tender bids for new or renewing high-value contracts
- Recommend litigation on high-risk accounts and provide actionable insights to support legal proceedings
- Contribute to the development of predictive indicators and debt segmentation models to enhance recovery efficiency
- Lead investigations into complex debt scenarios, identifying root causes and guiding accounts toward resolution
- Review Companies House notifications (e.g. PTSO) and initiate appropriate internal actions
- Conduct customer tracing and Land Registry checks to recover critical information
- Engage directly with customers to clarify unclear debt paths and determine appropriate recovery strategies
- Support tracing efforts for deregistered companies and accounts with incomplete or missing data
- Ensure all activity complies with GDPR, regulatory standards, and internal quality policies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes and procedures
- Build strong working relationships across Clear Business to support collaborative problem-solving
- Complete targeted customer tracing to accelerate debt recovery and improve resolution outcomes
- Reduce the volume of delinquent accounts lacking a clear recovery path through strategic investigation
- Mitigate financial exposure by proactively assessing risk in high-value contracts and recommending protective actions
- Manage credit bureau queries in line with service-level agreements under data exchange protocols
- Deliver agreed objectives while driving positive trends across key performance indicators
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in debt recovery, collections, or resolving complex customer account issues within a commercial environment
- Proven track record managing insolvency cases, processing PTSO notifications, and conducting customer tracing investigations
- Hands-on experience working with credit bureaus, with a solid understanding of credit risk assessment and data exchange protocols
- Strong working knowledge of B2B debt recovery regulations applicable in both England and Scotland
- Industry experience within the utilities sector preferred, with familiarity in sector-specific challenges and recovery strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear documentation and data-driven insights
