
NDT Technician Engineer - Vehicles (Non-Destructive Testing)

- Currently hold at least 4 PCN certificates or equivalent, covering the following disciplines: magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, eddy current testing and ultrasonic testing.
- Three of the above certificates must be at level 2 or above.
- It is desirable to hold level 2 PCN certificates in Ultrasonic Axle Testing (UAT)
- Competent to perform NDT according to NDT procedures and standards
- High level of integrity
- Highly developed ability to act on own initiative
- Highly motivated, with a real passion for personal development
- Ability to translate NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT instructions adapted to the actual working conditions.
- Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or procedures.
- Good knowledge of relevant TfL, British and International Standards
- Good working knowledge of the TfL business, its obligations and priorities
- Experience of working in a railway environment
- Willing to work unsocial hours when required
- Flexible working including working across all TfL sites within the London area
- Hold relevant certification to work in depots and lifts and escalator environments across the TfL family
