As a Process Operative your main responsibility is to work as part of a team in the Mixing area to produce product to a specification using existing recipes to ensure all Health and Safety processes are followed in line with site Health and Safety policy.The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team. Will be required to move lines across the factory as and when required.What will be your key deliverables?Understanding of product specificationsEnsure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughoutUnderstand equipment and machinery set upEnsure changeovers are completed to procedureEnsure any re-work procedures are followedEnsure product is to correct quality and specification, make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistencyEnsure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standardAlways maintain everyday factory standards safelyCarry out metal detection checks as per procedureCarry out all CP (critical control) checks as per procedureShift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agendaTrain peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when requiredUndertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenanceReport any problems to the Team Manager/ ATMBring your experienceEssentialGood numerical and literacy knowledgeManual dexterityGood communication skillsGood problem recognitionExcellent team working skillsBe able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiativePositive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environmentDesirablePrevious experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of workUnderstand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)What does the recruitment process consist of?Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude and a Workplace English assessment.
