About the roleBalfour Beatty Kilpatrick (BBK) is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing UK Construction Services team in the South East. You'll play a leading role in delivering high-value, complex projects, managing large-scale mechanical work packages and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.What you'll be doingAs a Mechanical Project Manager within Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, you'll be:
  • Leading and managing mechanical work packages or full-project delivery.
  • Overseeing subcontractors, ensuring installation quality, compliance, and safe delivery.
  • Driving programme delivery, short-term planning, and progress reporting.
  • Working closely with construction, commercial, logistics, design and safety teams.
  • Leading pre-start meetings and ensuring smooth supply chain mobilisation.
  • Setting and maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment and sustainability, with a strong focus on Net Zero goals.
  • Taking ownership of site logistics, plant, lifting and access requirements.
  • Establishing and enforcing quality standards, with a particular focus on building safety and fire safety strategies.
Who we're looking for
  • An experienced Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical trades.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale work packages or full-project delivery (£20m+).
  • Confident in leading project engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical standards, regulations, and technical compliance.
  • A collaborative leader who can engage effectively with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and governing bodies.
