Students benefit from small class sizes, collaborative planning between teachers and therapists, and a variety of enrichment activities designed to build confidence, independence, and personal growth.About the Role:As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across the curriculum. You will assist in delivering lessons, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students across the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive attitudes.
  • Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Monitor student progress and share observations with teaching staff.
  • Promote independence and confidence in learning.
  • Supervise students during breaks or lunchtimes when required.
  • Assist with school trips and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in a UK school or similar setting.
  • A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
