If you are a Qualified Accountant with the desire to gain public sector experience, this could be the ideal role.The DP Accountant will be reporting to the Head of Financial Management and will assume responsibility for the development and maintenance of financial systems. This role would suit an individual with previous experience of developing financial systems, implementing upgrades or working as part of systems project teams.About you
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Financial or Management Accountant experience
  • Strong systems experience, working with large financial systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders at all levels
What you'll do
  • Develop and maintain financial controls across the finance system
  • Prepare and implement system upgrades
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly files
  • Analyse data, investigating & reporting on variances
  • Budgeting & forecasting
