245091Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Service Manager to work Full Time for Avenues Group, based in Shrewsbury.The salary for this permanent Service Manager job is up to £37,080per annum.Main duties:
  • Work in line with relevant safeguarding legislation, guidance and good practice to create safe and enabling environments where staff and the people we support feel confident that they will be heard and responded to.
  • Work with the people we support, their families and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Provide better health care and reduce health inequalities.
  • Recognise and support all health, wellbeing and social concerns.
  • Provide strategies and use he tools in place to manage and evidence good health outcomes.
  • Working in line with organisational policies, effectively manage income and expenditure.
  • Participating in the budget setting process.
  • Manging labour costs through effective rostering and minimising agency use, managing non-staff costs effectively.
  • Demonstrate effective practice leadership to ensure a positive and open culture where continuous improvement is evident.
  • Be an effective leader and identify development requirements for self and team.
  • Ensure the Service Leadership Team are empowered to manage the service with the Service Manager and in their absence.
  • Effectively monitor and address staff performance and behaviour that falls below the organisation’s standards in line with policies and procedures.
  • To participate in organisational wide tasks or activities which may include investigations, people management issues and initiatives.
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements including those relating to Health and Safety, CQC etc are met within the service.
  • Ensure the requirements of the strategic business plan are met, including setting and monitoring relevant objectives.
  • To implement any business activities or initiatives set by the Organisation to drive up quality, support organisational development.
  • Promote and develop effective partnership working and networks, internally, professionally and in the wider community.
  • To keep a set of key performance indicators relating to the role including but not exclusive to, finance, compliance and quality.
Requirements of this Service Manager role:
  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Experience of managing budgets and financial information, taking appropriate action.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people such as those with learning disabilities, autism or an acquired brain injury.
  • Experience of managing a team, setting objectives and ensuring these are met.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support, or a willingness to work towards.
  • Level 3 Diploma PMLD, or a willingness to work towards.
