We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team across West London schools in Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, and Brent.As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with SEN students to support their learning, social development, and emotional well-being, helping them to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to SEN students in and out of the classroom
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Support the development of students’ communication, social, and independence skills
  • Monitor student progress and report to teaching staff and SEN coordinators
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with behavioural management strategies as needed
Candidate specification:
  • Experience working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
  • Strong understanding of SEN needs and teaching strategies
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, NVQ, CACHE) are desirable but not essential
  • Commitment to supporting inclusion and diversity
All applicants must be willing to undergo vetting checks as part of the school’s commitment to Safeguarding and Anti-bullying. This will include:
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
  • Two recent references (covering the past 24 months)
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 3+ months in the past 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
