- Deliver the Council's arboricultural service to meet objectives, ensure value for money, and maintain compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Survey and monitor the Council's tree stock in line with our agreed strategy.
- Work closely with contractors and colleagues to implement our tree management programme effectively.
- Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders on tree management matters.
- Respond to and resolve resident enquiries efficiently, including conducting site visits where required.
- Prepare reports on tree-related issues, such as insurance claims, dangerous trees, and high hedge applications.
- Develop and promote innovative schemes that encourage engagement with the Council's tree policies.
- Provide technical advice in a consultancy capacity to promote arboricultural best practices.
- Manage and deliver the arboricultural components of the Council's We Know Services, including undertaking surveys across the country and preparing technical reports.
- Holds the relevant qualifications including PTI certificate and experience as an arboricultural surveyor,
- Possesses excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with contractors, colleagues, and the public.
- Demonstrates strong organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities.
- Is committed to high standards of service delivery and environmental stewardship.
