- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in plumbing (theory and practical)
- Teach learners across Levels 1-3 and apprenticeships, including adult learners
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning materials in line with awarding body requirements (e.g. City & Guilds, EAL)
- Support and guide learners to achieve their qualifications
- Provide constructive feedback, academic support, and pastoral care
- Ensure teaching meets quality standards, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
- Stay up to date with plumbing industry developments, including building regulations and water regulations
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course design, and continuous quality improvement
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and quality assurance processes
- Maintain accurate student progress and assessment records
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Recognised Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one)
- Recent industry experience as a qualified plumber
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in education
- Assessor Award (TAQA/A1) and/or IQA qualification
- Experience teaching or training within Further Education or apprenticeships
- Current knowledge of building regulations, water regulations, and renewable technologies
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse learner groups
