Role: E&I SupervisorLocation: Site-based, GabonPattern: 28/28Assala Energy is a young and dynamic Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company with an exciting operated asset base in Gabon, firm core values and a keen sense of responsibility to our employees and stakeholders.We are now looking to enhance our Gabon-based Operations team by identifying and attracting an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor who would be working on site on a rotational basis of 28/28.Responsible for the supervision, technical guidance and execution along with E&I site team during preventive and corrective maintenance of site equipment, you will have the authority to run the activities on a day-to day basis - verify that the deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost in order to achieve production objectives are met.This position covers specialized E&I works on production site and process and as such the E&I Sup should be able to troubleshoot and maintain equipment to gain in reliability.You will have regular interface with projects teams as several major E&I projects are expected rapidly. Additionally, you will be involved in technical assessment of future projects and as such will be expected to add your operational input knowledge, help on site on the project delivery and prepare the team for using and maintaining future equipment.Responsibilities:
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform simple E&I duties and responsibilities when required.
  • Perform E&I skills including, but not limited to, electricity, instrumentation, pneumatic, SCADA, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of tools in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with Assala HSE standards and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility.
  • Direct and delegate workload to maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure all processes, procedures and documentation is compliant with Assala Standards.
  • Interface / coordinate with other disciplines such as Production, Mechanics and Projects.
  • Ensure electrical project execution according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
  • Coordinate electrical construction activities.
  • Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.
  • Support Electrical Engineers in design needs.
RequirementsIn order to be successful in this role, you are an Electrical Engineer with over 15 years of progressive experience in the field. You have specific competence in Electrical and/or Instrumentation-Automatism, power generation plant, VSD and power grids in the Oil & Gas industry, as well as circuitry layouts in both Electrical and Instrumentation domains from both the project and operational sites.Additionally, you have had the opportunity to work in an international environment, ideally in West Africa and have a proven track record as Maintenance Electrical& Instrumentation Lead (technicians management) on operational sites.Fluency in French and English are essential.
