- Deliver engaging, face-to-face lessons in English and Maths, often at the child’s residential home.
- Collaborate with schools and social workers to support children receiving alternative education.
- Tailor lesson plans and resources to meet each pupil’s individual needs.
- Use creative, interactive teaching methods to build students’ confidence and skills in both subjects.
- Apply behaviour management and coping strategies, supporting pupils who may require additional help.
- Work locations and times vary based on pupil needs, with all sessions arranged in advance.
- Strong knowledge and teaching experience in both English and Maths.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN.
- Ability to manage different behaviours effectively.
- Skill in planning and delivering engaging, cross-curricular lessons.
- Commitment to helping pupils meet their learning goals and providing clear progress feedback.
- Relevant skills and experience are essential.
- A current DBS certificate (Update Service registered) is required.
- Assistance with DBS application available through Teaching Personnel if needed.
- Supportive consultant guidance for current and future roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
