We are committed to challenging all forms of discrimination and celebrating and promoting diversity throughout our work.The position of In Hospital Physical Activity Deliverer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, delivery and reporting of an in-hospital physical activity provision pilot to prevent and reduce patient deconditioning during their stay. Working in collaboration with healthcare staff, to provide identified patients with safe, appropriate and effective exercise sessions, both in an individual and small group setting. The role aims to maintain patients’ strength, mobility and well-being, to minimise the impact of inactivity and support their discharge from hospital.Hours: 35 hours a week. Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026.Salary: £14.42 - £15.39Closing date for applications: 8th September 2025Interview: 15th September or 17th September 2025Benefits:

Reporting to the Head of Physical Activity Manager the postholder's duties will include;1.Deliver individual and group exercise sessions for patients to maintain their strength, mobility, and wellbeing.2.Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to identify suitable patients and asses their current situation to ensure delivery is adapted appropriately.3.Contribute to the development of the pilot to ensure it has the intendent impact, whilst being delivered in the most efficient and effective way.4.Advise patients and their families on the benefits of staying active during their hospital stay and after they have been discharged. Signposting and referring onwards as appropriate.5.Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.6.Ensure all activities and duties comply with hospital and charity health, safety and safeguarding guidelines, policies and procedures.7.To work collaboratively with other Age UK Oxfordshire staff based both in the hospital and in the community, to ensure patients are supported to access other services as required.
