Angel Hill Surgery is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy practice, covering 6 sessions a week, working on a Monday, Thursday and Friday.Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.Main duties of the job
Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion;
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation;
Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems;
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness;
Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols;
Providing health education;
Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards;
Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements;
Delivering enhanced services;
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions;
All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
About usAngel Hill Surgery is a training practice located in the centre of Bury St Edmunds with a patient population of 14,250. We have 5 partners, 5 salaried GPs and 3 ACPs as well as GP trainees. We are supported by our excellent practice nurses as well as a fully staffed dispensary and reception team. We are active members of the Bury St Edmunds PCN.We are a S1 practice and do a mix of face to face, telephone and e-consult appointments. The vast majority of our home visits are managed by our visiting ACP.We are a cohesive and supportive team who work well together and enjoy each other's company. The clinical staff meet every morning and afternoon for informal chat and tea/coffee. We organise regular social events in the summer and at Christmas involving all staff. We are also a Parkrun practice and have a presence at some of their events.We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join us.
