- Providing technical input for projects and/or proposals, including preparation, checking, and/or approval of engineering documentation
- Ensuring compliance with national and international codes of practice, legislation, and company/client standards and procedures
- Preparing requisitions for control systems, safety systems, analyser houses, field instrumentation, and other instrument equipment
- Preparing installation scopes of work
- Reviewing supplier quotations and preparing technical bid assessments
- Full life-cycle development of either control or protection systems
- Software qualification of SMART devices and PLCs
- Functional Safety related tasks
- C&I Ageing and Obsolescence Management
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electronic / Electrical / Control Engineering). Apprenticeships may be considered
- Chartered or Incorporated engineer status with a relevant professional body, or evidence of working towards these titles
- Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across various industries
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and/or Water sectors
- Knowledge of UK legislation and standards
- Familiarity with installation requirements for equipment in process plants involving potentially explosive areas
- Understanding of CE marking requirements for plant and equipment, including ATEX, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, and EMC Compliance
- Awareness of risk identification, quantification, management, and HSE requirements
- Highly motivated
