One of my top Office D&B Fit Out clients is looking to add an up and coming Junior Designer to their already well established designer team. This is a client that has been present in the sector for a number of years now and has become a recognized name is delivering high quality projects.With projects which reach well over 50,000 sq/ft and valued at over £3 million now is a great time to join if you are looking to progress within the D&B industry. With a strong ethic of promoting from within they are able to offer excellent career progression. You will be assisting the Senior Designers on a range projects from take off all the way through to completion.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating technical drawing packages for our projects using AutoCAD &revit
  • Carry out building surveys using laser measure (all measuring equipment will be supplied)
  • Accompany Technical Designer to site as & when required for site meetings
  • Communicate with Clients & Sub-Contractors by phone & electronically via email
  • Print drawing packs for use on site & client meetings
  • Ensure the drawing issue sheet is up to date with the correct revisions
  • Issuing of drawings to sub-contractors and clients
  • Work closely with the internal Design, Projects & Finance Teams
  • Ensure in-house printing equipment for CAD drawings is readily available and fully functional at all times.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 1-3 Years experience using AutoCAD/ Revit / Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Sketchup
  • Technical design/drawing based education or work placement experience
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Desirable:
  • Experience within the area of Commercial Office Design & Build (D&B).
  • Understanding of the current Building Regulations
  • Experience of measured building survey
