Duration: Long-termReeson Education is working with a warm, inclusive mainstream primary school in the M21 area of Manchester to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting this September. This Teaching Assistant opportunity is perfect for someone experienced in supporting pupils with behavioural challenges and emotional needs.As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with three individual pupils aged 7 to 10 across different year groups. You'll provide 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom on a rotating basis, helping to regulate behaviour, support emotional wellbeing, and build pupil confidence through structured, tailored sessions.The school offers a friendly, secure, and nurturing working environment with excellent transport links and free onsite parking. It's a brilliant place to build lasting relationships and make a real difference.Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:
- Working as a Teaching Assistant across KS2 with pupils aged 7 to 10
- Providing one-to-one emotional and behavioural support
- Supporting access to learning in class and during focused breakout sessions
- Building strong relationships with each child as a trusted Teaching Assistant
- Helping pupils with anxiety, low confidence, or regulation difficulties
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Acting as a consistent presence to reduce disruption and increase engagement
- Tailoring strategies for each child as a flexible and proactive Teaching Assistant
- Maintaining safe, positive routines throughout the school day
- Monitoring and feeding back on progress, behaviour and wellbeing
- Experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional difficulties
- Patience, empathy, and confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- A calm and consistent approach to building trust and rapport
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Availability for a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role
- DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is desirable
