LAC Tutor Wanted – Northamptonshire| Support Vulnerable Young LearnersLocation: Northamptonshire, UK
Rate: £25–£30 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Part-time / FlexibleWe are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and adaptable LAC Tutor to support Looked After Children (LAC) in the Northamptonshire area.This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 tuition to children in care who may be outside mainstream education or require additional support to catch up. You will play a vital part in helping these young people achieve academic progress and rebuild their confidence in learning.About the Role:
  • Deliver bespoke educational sessions (primarily in English and Maths)
  • Support learners aged 5–18, across KS1 to KS4 (age and level depending)
  • Sessions may take place in the home, school, or a neutral setting
  • Complete brief reports tracking student progress
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum (especially English and Maths)
  • A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or relevant tutoring experience
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
